Poverty in Nepal

Today we have class discussion on the topic POVERTY in NEPAL an emerging topics in present situation. Then, i realise that we have to do something for the country to remove poverty. Nepal is a prospere country having Herbs, Water resources, Labour force, Tourism Sector, Minaral resources etc. But Proper utilization and management of such resources, more than 60% of total population are under poverty line. Still we have only sold our labour going on foreign country doing D3 jobs. that is D=irty, D=anger, D=ifficult.

Poverty is one of the cause of underdeveloping our country. It  is also a diamension of social stratification. Poverty refers to the range of income of individual below the income that required to feed and fulfil his and himself and his dependent. The situation of People of Nepal is very poor in the sense to education, employment, technical knowledge which making the country worse and worse.

The Causes of Poverty in Nepal
There are various causes which is helping to push backward our country Nepal. Any country become prospere if there is political sound and infrastructure development. The Major Causes of Poverty are as follow:
* Political instability :
In each country political situation plays vital role. Nepal is facing political instability since Moists came in the country since 12 years. they raise the issues of discrimination and labour problems. But with their entry more problem is developing. They come with violence, criminal activities. During the fight period of 12 years. Most of Nepali have difficult situation. From the threaten of Moists, many are compelled to join moists, many ran away from their own houses and lands. That is also a cause of political instability. It is supporting in increasing poverty rate.
* Ignorace of Government in Education :
If the Government is not strong enough and ignore the important activities like in education, then forsure, the country becomes poor. Education is a basic needs of every individual, but in Nepal more than 65% of population are under illetracy. They are unaware of the education.

Family

Having less family members is not important but having happy family with all frank and sharing feelings between family members is very important. Family is group of close or blood relation living together under one roof.

My favourate Family type:
Joint family:
I like to live in the joint family with all members where our Grand-parents, Parents, Uncles, Cousins live together sharing the common features and feelings. Most of Nepali society prefer Joint family in the rural areas. But with the mordanization, People of city are becoming individualist who think of themself and believe on freedom. MOst of people hate to live with grand-parents and parents. This it is the influence of mordanizationa and Eastern culture.

Importances of Joint family :
i) To conserve Traditional Beliefs, values and norms
ii) Promote Cooperative spirits
iii) Secures the advantage of division of labour....
iv) To transfer the cultures and traditions to next generation
There are many other advantages being in Joint Family. However, it has also disadvantages but if we have we-feeling among the members that can be avoided easily.

Single Family:
Single family is a nuclear family, where only parents and childrens stay under one roof with sharing everything.
